The Soft Module is a concept album set in the near future. When lovers are torn apart by tragedy, the future state replaces the Woman with a robot replica. At first the Man can see the upside of this transformation. She has no inhibitions, she can dance and party all night long. But in the late hours of the night, he can't shake the feeling that he is missing the human element of their love. Choosing to end his own life in despair, the future state replaces the Man with a robot replica. The final song is a duet sung by the lovers reunited and immortalized by technology.
